About Andrea
Since 2019, Andrea has worked as an independent project leader and advisor within the cultural sector, gaining insight into many cultural organizations. Before that, Andrea worked for a long time at the Royal Library, including as a manager. There, she gained extensive experience in the field of digitizing collections.During her career, Andrea noticed that legal aspects are playing an increasingly significant role in the cultural sector, partly due to digitization. Consider copyrights, GDPR, but also topics such as the restitution of looted art. To contribute to the legal issues within the cultural sector, Andrea started studying Law in 2018, which she has since completed.
At DEN, she focuses primarily on legal dossiers, such as digital reuse within the performing arts and the copyright aspects of AI. On these themes, Andrea makes a valuable contribution at DEN because these topics are an essential part of digital transformation.
Other activities: Andrea is a board member of the dance company Another Kind of Blue and a member of the objections committee of the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts
