Job Vacancy: Office Assistant at DEN

Do you want to use your organizational talent in a place where digital innovation and culture come together? At DEN, the knowledge institute for digital transformation in the cultural sector, we are looking for an energetic and precise office assistant who ensures everything runs smoothly in our office.

Together with our passionate team, you will work towards a strong, future-proof cultural sector. You are the cornerstone of our organization: you bring structure, create a pleasant work environment, and love to take initiative.

As an office assistant, you will take care of several administrative tasks (in the areas of finance and HR), act as the first point of contact for DEN, liaise with our IT partner and handle IT-related questions, help organize internal and external appointments and events, and ensure a welcoming and well-functioning office environment.

At DEN, we identify digital trends, support innovation, develop knowledge, and offer it through tools and training. We work on translating this for the cultural sector, so the sector can immediately start developing a digital strategy and be prepared for the audience of the future. Despite all the (digital) changes, one thing remains unchanged: the power of culture, by everyone and for everyone. We are happy to dedicate ourselves to this cause, together with you.

What will you do?

As an office assistant, you are the first point of contact for colleagues, visitors, and partners. You combine administrative, facility, and organizational tasks and help the team move forward.

  • You arrange internal and external appointments, meetings, and gatherings.
  • You are the first point of contact for IT matters (hardware/software) and maintain contact with our IT partner.
  • You manage the general mailbox(es), mail, and phone traffic.
  • You keep the office running: from welcoming visitors to managing the spaces.
  • You support administrative HR and Finance tasks.
  • You assist in organizing internal and external project events.
  • You actively think about improving work processes for the above tasks.

This is you!

  • A precise, results-oriented planner with drive and enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge of and enjoyment in working with all Microsoft 365 products.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project-based work/operational management/secretarial work.
  • A proactive attitude with an eye for improvement.
  • Transparent in communication.
  • Ambitious about process improvements to contribute to more efficient and effective work for DEN and your colleagues.
  • Knows how to tackle tasks with a touch of humor when things get tough.

What do we offer you?

  • Salary between €3,200 and €4,100 (based on 40 hours) according to the CAO-OI.
  • A varied position between 28 - 32 hours.
  • Balance between work and private life, we offer 338 leave hours for a full-time position.
  • A 12-month contract, with the intention to continue indefinitely afterward.
  • A holiday allowance of 8%, year-end bonus of 8.33%, and a good pension scheme.
  • A budget for personal and job-oriented development.
  • A warm work culture in an involved, growing team.
  • The already legendary (veggie) summer barbecue and Christmas lunch. Opportunities to explore culture together.

We believe it is important that our team is as diverse as the audience of the future. Are you the talent we are looking for?
